When we do have training sessions...
Training sessions are about one hour long. Jason Greenly from Rape Advocacy, Counseling, & Education Services (RACES) will be giving a talk at both trainings about caring for women experiencing trauma to help our volunteers to better understand the women we serve. He will talk for about 30 minutes.
Come find out what's changed, discuss any questions you might have, refresh your knowledge about volunteer procedures, and sign up for forthcoming overnight dates. Overnight sign-up calendars will be available at these sessions if you want to sign up.
Want to volunteer with Austin's Place? We will have a full training session to get you acquainted. Come and find out if volunteering with Austin's Place is a good fit for you. Explore volunteering options, take a tour of what a typical overnight might be like, ask any questions you might have, sign up to volunteer with us (if you're ready) but there is no obligation to volunteer by attending this training session. Come find out if this is the right volunteer opportunity for you!
